That's All a Teenage Girl Needs

It's a beautiful day in spring. The sun is shining, kids are playing outside, people are mowing their lawns and everything feels just right.
It's the last day of May and the upcoming week is the last week of school and three out of the five days are finals. It's been a long school year. I had started high school in a new town with no friends. This town is right next to the city I lived in for fifteen years but it was still nerve wracking to go to school in such unknown territory.
Now that the school year is almost over I can relax a little and let myself enjoy this wonderful day.
I haven't been able to leave the house today, but I have my book and my music. That's all a teenage girl needs, right?
